Eben Moglen gave the keynote address at the Freedom To Connect (F2C2012) conference and it was followed up with a detailed Q&A – all of which you can watch right here. In total it runs just under an hour and a half but it is time well spent and you must, at the very least, watch the first half which is the keynote address wherein Moglen discusses the imperative need of our society, our culture, indeed our entire civilization to possess the freedom to access and hack the tools of communication so as to ensure our ability to not only retain our fundamental freedoms but also to innovate, prosper and survive as a species. Big time heavy arse brain stuff and something we all need to be cognizant of in the coming years since it will affect us and the world we end up living in. So there.
